Leading hundreds of students yearly in their journey of growth in Christ, I understand how essential it is not to skip steps. Being grounded in the fundamentals of the faith is the start to a successful walk as a disciple. God didn't call us to do this walk alone, and we are here to guide you as you grow to be a faithful disciple. WELCOME TO THE DISCIPLESHIP HUB.

Have you repented to God for your sins and confessed Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of your life?

Do you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead, bodily offering you the grace of salvation?

  • If your answer is yes, that is awesome! Check out Step 2!

  • If your answer is no, please contact us below we would love to talk to you about Salvation.

Step 2

Have you signed up for water baptism?

Following Jesus' command to be baptized in water (fully immersed) is an act of obedience to what Scripture commands believers to do (Matthew 28:18-20). Baptism is an outward expression of an inward conversion.

Water baptism identifies us with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It is a symbol and celebration of our new life in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

If you are interested in signing up to be water baptized, please go to www.cormbloomington.com/waterbaptism to sign up or contact us below.

If you have already signed up and/or have been water-baptized, please proceed to step 3!

Journey In Discipleship

5 Things Every Disciple Needs

1. Local Church Community: Even Jesus didn't walk alone. He called 12 disciples who journeyed with him in ministry. He held them accountable, and they grew through community. At the birthing of the New Testament Church in Acts 2, we see that after men and women put their faith in Jesus and were baptized, they entered into a community where they grew in the word, prayer, and fellowship. Do you have a local community that you are committed to?

2. Devoted Prayer Life: Again, Jesus, our example, taught us in Luke 18:1 that we should always pray; he taught his disciples the model way of praying, and in his own life was devoted to prayer. The apostles were praying men and taught the church to be a praying body of believers. There is no growth in discipleship that is absent from a commitment to prayer. Do you have a devoted life of prayer?

3. Devoted to Studying God's Word: The Bible is the inspired word of God and is authoritative in the life of the believer. Through God's word, we learn of his nature, his will, and his way. The Bible teaches us not only about the faith but also how to walk in it. The word of God teaches us about the whole armor of God that we must put on to stand against the attack of the enemy. A faithful walk in discipleship necessitates that we have been rooted in God's word. Are you committed to the study of the word of God? dsdf

4. Lead by the Spirit of God: A disciple's life must be Spirit-led, according to Ephesians 2. When we are saved, we are given the Spirit of God to indwell us. The Spirit of God not only seals us but empowers us, Acts 1:8, to be able to live a regenerated life full of dependence on God. A disciple of Christ must trust the Spirit of God that lives in them every day of their lives. We walk in the flesh of our own ways, we will surely fall, but when we trust the Spirit to lead us, we can stand in surety that we have the victory.

5. Walk in Accountability: When you become a disciple of Christ, not only do you walk in community, but we walk in accountability. The word of God calls us to submit to God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), Church leadership, and submit to one another (the Body of Christ). Accountability helps to keep us aligned with God's will and challenges us in areas where we need growth. Accountability is discipleship are necessary, and to neglect such a matter would negatively impact the walk of a disciple.
